Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. - Mark Twain

I really that your post was great this morning. I look forward to more blogs from you.
Andrea: I am trying to figure this one out. A very tall smokestack ? Maybe one of those gigundo trash chutes they have on under-construction buildings ? Anyway... thanks for sharing... but... what is it ? LOL.
I'm also trying to figure out what I'm looking at :) .... interesting pic anyway!
Maybe it's just because it's still very early here in LA .... and I'm still on my first cup of coffee
This is an old cement stave silo, the stack you see is where the ladder is. That is bittersweet crawling up the side, which has overtaken this silo! In the fall it will be spectacular, I love bittersweet vines!
Kat, thanks for stopping by.
Karen, LOL, there is the answer to your question! You should have known with me it was some farm thing, I am too easy.
Stewart, well, I am also on my first cup, but you ARE EARLY! Or did you not go to bed yet??? Thanks.
great angle and perspective
Andrea is that the fairy princess castle? My daughters would have a great time with that one.
Bridget, thank you!
Steve, yes, that is it actually. I live in Jack and the Beanstalk land, LOL, now you have let the cat out of the bag. I spend most of my days at the top of this tower here waiting and waiting.... :D
Rapunzel.....Beautiful picture.
Hi Andrea-Looks like you were laying on the ground to get that photo. I love it. Have a wonderful day. <SMILE>
What a refreshing perspective you offer, Andrea - and not just with this picture!
Linda, LOL, why thank you!
Sharon, not quite, would have been to hard to get back up again. Almost though. Thank you!
Irene, what a wonderful thing to say, I am blushing, thank you so much!
Andrea - I wish we still had the old silo at the farm. They are few and far between these days. Of course your photo is a different type of silo, but same principal. Nice angle.
Judy, I have more silo pictures, tell me what type of silo and I will make it so! Thank you so much! A wooden one? A Harvestore? I have pictures of many different ones. Silos are great aren't they? Funny thing is that people who just drive by and enjoy them have no idea of the dangers of a silo.
Andrea, as an old farm girl I knew it was a silo, I love the straight up perspective in the photo!
Caren, you are way to smart, LOL. Thank you! I just love silos, they are good photo bait.
Andrea You certainly are an accomplished photographer Art
Art, you are too genererous with your praise, I thank you!
Andrea I see my "assistant" got here first - probably not keeping him busy enough. We used to live in Ridgefield and love Connecticut Karen
Andrea - You had me stumped on that one. When you mentioned "bittersweet" I thought perhaps it was an old missile silo. But I see you were talking about the vine - not the state of mind:-) Nice shot!
Hi Andrea:
Nice photo...
I had to look at it for a while to figure out what exactly it was...
Karen, you need to keep him busier, LOL. Thank you!
Myrl, I actually was eating my lunch when I read your comment, on my blackberry, in the office lunchroom. I burst out laughing, they thought I was nuts. Oh, they know I am nuts. I don't have a missle silo in my back yard... yet.... Thank you!
Toula, thank you so much!
Andrea - Fantastic perspective in this shot! Wonderful! I really love bittersweet, too - have some brought to me from Kansas in a vase. I love the berries.
Debi
Well that is enough to make me stop working and daydream about what I can find in the clouds for the rest of the day. Thanks for sharing.
Debi, thank you! This looks amazing in the fall, although it is very invasive, I love it.
Tammy, the clouds were cool too. Thank you!
Wow - great angle for this photo Andrea - there is a clouds group here in the rain that may appreciate this post as weel.
Sincerely,
Grace
Hi Grace, thank you! I didn't know there was a clouds group, I have many sky pictures, I should go over and take a look. Thanks again!
Andrea, that could almost be use as a Bible illistration in the Book of Genesis for the Tower of Babel :) :)
LOL George, too funny! The tower of Babel is really... an old silo, LOL. Thanks!
Boy did you capture that against the gorgeous sky very well !
Great blend of colors and vibrant content !
Love it !
Shel, why thank you! I am blushing. :D
Andrea,
Very cool shot! Thanks for sharing.
Ann
Ann, you are very welcome! Thank you very much.
Neat picture Andrea.
Gotta give you 'DA BOOT...

Michael, oh wow, thank you!!!! I am so flattered.
And look at that little guy. I love it!
I just listed a farmette that has a silo like this, cool angle.
Scott
Makes me want to return to my youth when anything taller than me was worth trying to climb -- LOL.
Hi Scott, thank you. I love barns and silos! Good luck on the listing.
Russel, and this has a ladder inside that tube.... :D
