The fireworks in New Milford, CT last night were great! I sat on the banks of the Housatonic River by Veterans Bridge. The only problem I had was the fireworks didn't seem to be going very high so in many of my shots the fireworks were behind the trees on the opposite bank of the river. We all had a great time, I hope you enjoy my display!

Andrea - Very beautiful my friend and thank you for sharing!
VB
Great job Andrea, we did not have fireworks in Bristol this year so I'm enjoying yours!
Thanks, Jess
VB, you are very welcome my friend!
Jess, thank you. That is a shame, I am sorry to hear that. I just love fireworks and was waiting to get pictures with my new camera. It was still hard to do, but they turned out ok I think.
Andrea, those are some beautiful shots of the fireworks! I am looking forward to ours this evening! Thank you for sharing!
Andrea..fantastic Job..what a great display ..you did a beautiful presentation ..love your style..thank
you
HELPFULHANNAH
Hi Andrea-Great display my friend. They had some close by my place but I couldn't see them but I heard them. So this morning I get to see yours. COOL!!!!<SMILE>
Love the slide presentation here Andrea.
It looks like it was a really fun one. I didn't watch the fireworks last night--except on the television :-(
Andrea, very nice! The fireworks thing here has turned into such a mob scene, that like many natives, I had a feast on my neighbor's back deck! We had mohitos - they won't let you bring that to the mall!
Andrea, what a great job you did! It's like I am there watching it live, thanks!
Great slide show. Thanks for sharing. Have a great Sunday.
Andrea --- great shots --- usually, we watch the fireworks from our porch -- have to admit that this year, I was asleep before the big shows started. So, thanks for sharing yours.
Caren, I could go for another display tonite! Have a wonderful time tonite! I hope you will have plenty of pictures to show us!
Hannah, you are too kind! I am waiting to get the courage to use a video camera soon.
Sharon, I am sorry you missed them. I only enjoy them if I have elbow room, LOL. I usually go right up to the top of my hill and watch the next town over, but the hay field is out of control, and I didn't want to walk through 5 foot high grasses and stand in 5 foot high grass, LOL
Gary, thank you very much. Pretty easy to do I have to say.
Melissa, Television has great fireworks, and the best part of that is no bugs, fridge on hand and a comfortable seat. :D
Pat, if they don't allow mojitos, then forget it! I am sure you had a fantastic time!
Rita, you are way to kind, thank you
Yvette & Dennis, thank you for stopping by!
Liz, it happens, LOL. But how wonderful to watch from your front porch. Maybe next year!
The shots with the trees look kind of cool. Nice job!
Andrea - What a great display of the beautiful fireworks in New Milford. You caught some really great shots! We had some pretty big boomers going off in my neighborhood tonight. Hope it quiets down before I go to sleep! :)
Hi Jim, thank you! At first I was a bit upset that the tree was there and the fireworks weren't high enough, then I decided it looked ok!
Donna, we have a few that are setting off fireworks, but I am rather out far, so it would be worse if I were in closer to town! Thank you.
I didn't get to go out to see the fireworks this year, but I live within earshot of five of them, as does Zoey the Cool Cat, who wasn't too happy. I had to put her in the bathroom and turn on the exhaust fan and the water to block out the booms from the fireworks. In order not to waste water, I ran hot water into the tub, and when the fireworks were over, I simply took a very hot bath. Sooooooo relaxing....
Nicely done Andrea!
Thank you for sharing your 4th with us.
Great fireworks photos!
Russel, LOL, great ideas. And we don't want to waste any water, that's for sure.
Craig, thank you so much, and you are very welcome.
Brenda, was my first time trying to capture fireworks with my fancy DSLR camera. Thank you.
By the way, my wise old grandmother taught me that the Fourth of July is for the Six F's: Fun, Food, Fireworks, and Fellowship with Family and Friends.
Russel, she was a wise woman for sure! And I did all of those! :D And for you there was yet another "F" and that was.... fixin a bath, LOL. :D
Great pictures. I think the tree silhouettes actually add a nice personal touch to the pictures.
