A seemingly innocent post leads to confessions

Cows cows cowsA wonderful post by Richard Weisser lead to my confession. It was an innocent enough post, yet I squealed like a pig, I sang like a canary, I showed no shame and admitted it in public. It is time for YOU to fess up, inquiring minds want to know, who is playing Farmville on Facebook?

Richard Weisser wrote a post this evening titled Networking while sitting in our underwear in glass houses ... isn't it time we put some clothes on? This seemingly innocent post led to me confessing I am not only on Facebook, but spend most of my time there playing Farmville. Turns out Richard is quite the farmer too, we are now neighbors in Farmville. My question here is, how many of you that are on Facebook also play Farmville? Come on, admit it.

I am looking for neighbors, and as you are aware, Farmville is fun AND addicting. AND I NEED MORE NEIGHBORS! Add me as a friend, request me as your neighbor. And if you don't own a farm in Farmville, just ask me, I can get you a REAL deal! I would love to help you achieve your dream of farm ownership in Farmville, LOL.

So, fess up all you closet Farmville players! I would love love love to be your neighbor! And I promise I won't tell anyone about your Farmville addiction.

As a side note, despite Richard's admonitions about social media-ing in your underwear, I do NOT play Farmville this way. I am fully clothed while tending to my crops and animals, I promise!

Yeah, either no one is brave enough to fess up about Farmville, LOL, or I am just plain nuts.... we shall see, LOL.

Andrea, you seem to always have something different and amusing and intriguing up your sleeve - but - - - Farmville?  :-)  I knew you had cows and all that stuff but - - - Farmville?

I guess the only thing I can possibly do is go on Facebook and become a farmer!  LOL

Do I get to pick whether I have virtual cows or virtual horses or some other virtual animal?  How big can my farm be?  Can it be a ranch - here in Colorado, there seem to be more "ranches"?!  I'd much rather build a "virtual" fence than a real one!  So many questions.  Ha!

Thanks for another entertaining post - and Stay in touch,

I keep getting requests but I keep deleting them.  The last thing I need is to get into another game on the computer!

Never heard of Farmville until this post. Right now have our hands full with the things we are doing on the computer.

Sorry, farm girl.  I am trying to get to the top of the leaderboard in Real Estate Tycoon for no real reason except to see if I can.  I don't dare take up one more occupation!  Moooooooooooooo

Sorry farm girl!  I am trying to get to the top of the Real Estate Tycoon readerboard for no real reason, and I don't dare take up one more Facebook occupation.  Besides, I am too busy trying to overtake Brian's AR Featured Idaho #2 spot.....

Mike, the explanation is just too long, LOL, go see for yourself. You are too funny!

Hannah, your sister plays does she? You will be a farmer soon enough.. LOL.

Heather, I am not a big game player on my computer, but this is just too much fun! At least I think so.

Hi Bob & Carolin, well, if you started you would understand, LOL.

Janna, LOL, I know, you told me. Moooooo to you too!!!!!

Andrea, I barely have time to visit my blogging friends and comment. Farmville is a luxury that I cannot participate in! Although if I did you would be the first neighbor that I would want, since you are the first farmer that would come to mind!

Lol, first of all, thanks for the mention. And just so the others know, it's FARMVILLE and not Farmtown or My Little Farm or anything else.

I have all of my crops in neat rows, easily harvested with machinery. I need to organize my orchards, though.

I wonder what new stuff they'll be adding next? Anyway, it's a pleasant diversion as long as you harvest those crops before they wilt!

Andrea, I spent about 15 minutes yesterday talking to me 12 year grand daughter about Farmville. I was curious because I see it all over Facebook. No Farmville for me!!! Next thing people will be telling me they get business from Farmville and I MUST play :)

Andrea - As a farm girl, this is very tempting, but there comes a time when you must say NO. I need to pace myself and acquire more Google milk, that is the only farming I can handle right now. ;-)

Glad to see the blogyngitis has lifted. :D

Oh, dear!   No, I'm not into farmville - yet!  Can I accumulate cows?  Do you have a link?

Posted by Patricia Kennedy, Home in the Capital (Redfin) over 10 years ago

No thanks Andera but my sister love playing and apparently has quite the farm going as to many other members of my family. For me, I'm lucky to have time to get on FB once a day for short heys!

Andrea - You crack me up!! Wishing you and Richard best of luck with your crops and cattle....

As for me, no thank you to Farmville.....even my kids have begged me to play....but last time I agreed to play a facebook game with them they took all my fish, tied them to rocks. and filled my tank with algae.

I shudder to think what would happen to my goats.

Have fun....The Crops Be With You!

I've heard of Mafia wars, but never this farm one. I've never played any of them, who has time? I have business, kids sporting events, church events, life!

Caren, I know, LOL. I spend about 10 minutes a day with mindless farming, and don't do much else on Facebook. I don't play games on my computer really, all business. One has to have a bit of fun once in a while!

Richard, and that is some beautiful farm you have there! I can hardly wait to see what comes next. As you noticed, I have 4 hot air balloons, I am hoping to give people rides later on, LOL. Or get the black sheep out of them. There has to be something fun about them! See you there! I am afraid these people think we are nutz though, sorry about that. :D

Bryant, LOL, what can I say. First, by the way, nice new photo you got there. Anyway, here is the thing, I need SOMETHING to relax. And we all know how I like farming!

Judy, you will be there soon enough, I saw it and thought... wow, this is GREAT! 10 minutes of farming, and I am all set for the day!

Pat, I sent you a request to be friends, then will come the request to be my neighbor. Hit Richard Weisser up to be your neighbor once you sign up! And cows will be on the way! :D Did you know there are 400 plus Patricia Kennedys on Facebook btw???

Anna Banana, I know. That is really all I do with Facebook. What can I say. We all need a bit of fun!

Kevin, that too, LOL. This isn't so hard on the joints!

Coleen, uh... care to splain? Tied your fish to rocks? Filled your tank with algae? OMG, I died laughing when I read that! And thank you!

Todd, I make time for 10 minutes a day for something I enjoy doing that is FUN for me. Besides, my kids are grown...

Marilyn, well, if you like, contact me on Facebook. You can be my neighbor! LOL.

Carla, I got my farmland already, but you never know what might happen.... :D

Andrea, I joined Facebook but I am rarely on it, but I am glad that it has been a source of fun and relaxation for you.

Andrea - What will Facebook think of next?  Between the games, causes, inviations, drink requests, plants, flowers, jewelry, etc...etc...there's never a lack of something fun to do on Facebook.  I'm just not sure this "city girl" could ever be a "farm girl." :)

I'm totally confused. Does one have to be on Facebook to understand what Farmville is?

Farmville? I do have Facebook but I must confess that I do not have time. I just have too much to do right now....

George, yep, that is what I use it for. I am sure it is underutilized... but for now, that is what I do!

Donna, I bet you could. I don't play any other computer games at all, and so it works for me!

Jim, I don't know, that is where I found it, and play it there.

Michael, I saw a friend playing it, and just thought it would be fun, and so it is!

I rarely go on FB and have never seen Farmville. I get request to join Mafia Wars. I'm just not that interested.

Posted by James Quarello, Connecticut Home Inspector (JRV Home Inspection Services, LLC) over 10 years ago

Jim, I just got my first Mafia Wars invite. That is just not me, LOL. But this farming thing, I am hooked!

Posted by Andrea Swiedler, Realtor, Southern Litchfield County CT (Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties) over 10 years ago

Alright, Andrea - you hooked me.  I've played that "dumb" game a couple of times and now I think I'll have to make it my home page so I go to the farm every time I start my web browser!  LOL

There just aren't enough hours in the day . . . . . .

Hi Andrea, I play Farmville.  It's my relaxation and a stress reliever.  I'll add you as a friend first and then you can send me a neighbor request.  It won't let me send any more neighbor requests out.  Have a great day.
