Wordless Wednesday, stay warm on a crisp fall night

Stay warm on a crisp fall night, find a friend with lots of fur and cuddle up!

Duncan & Garfield

Duncan certainly wins the "patience of a saint" award, he puts up with this little orange monster crawling all over him and digging through his fur.

Aww, they really do look warm and cozy.  My parents used to have a cat that looked like yours.  His name was butterscotch.

Andrea - That is so adorable.  It's slowly getting cold here and pretty soon I'll be looking for my warm blanket and heavy overcoat.

I never thought of giving up the spotlight to my kitties--  good idea!  Now I just wish it was cool and crisp here!

Andrea,

They look so cozy together.  Tell me why is it that cats are always the boss!

Great picture thank you for sharing.

How cute, Andrea.  Unfortunately our dogs and cats do not get along that well together.  Nice to see such a picture of pet harmony!

That'a a nice pic.  I love the expression on cats' faces.  Your orange monsters looks content!  ;-)

My BB (no relation to Broker Bryant!) is pretty SMUG!!

Your orange monster does look pretty comfortable there.

Jenny, this little guys name is Garfield, and he lives up to the name.

Rosalinda, I just love fall weather, and they were laying on my blanket, LOL.

Kathy, your kitties don't take the spotlight? Interesting, LOL.

Sharon S., I have no idea why cats take over and rule the roost. Poor Duncan has resigned himself to that fact.

Sharon W., We refer to Duncan as Uncle Doodle where the cats are concerned. He just gets this look on his face like, "why don't they stop, why are they pestering me".

Carla, LOL, no relation are you sure? My smug one had to be put down, she was the princess of the house, more like the queen. She put up with poor Duncan, tolerated his presence in the house, but just barely.

Theodora, he usually is on top of the poor dog, LOL.

Andrea, I do the same thing with my spoiled rotten springer spaniel, Carley! Meow!

Cute, Andrea.  You obviously have a great dog there - and a great cat too!  We had a German Shepherd, Casey, who was always gentle and accepting of our cats - he was truly a great dog.

Very cute!  I wish my dog got along better with cats.  She just wants to CHASE!  It's in a loving way, of course, but still...

Andrea, I don't know if I would want to snuggle up to anything with lots of fur.  I think I will just stick with extra blankets ....... LOL

Hi Andrea ~ So sweet! I love when it gets a bit chillier - Champ will share the pillow with me at night (and rest his cheek on mine - believe me that's happiness) while in the summer he tends to stay in his own bed many nights.

Wouldn't it be nice if Republicans and Democrats could get along together like Duncan and that little orange monster?

Well, well, perhaps there is hope for all of us!  If cats and dogs can snuggle and get along, I wonder why humans have such a difficult time.
