Speechless Sunday does leave me (a bit) speechless.

I am still playing with HDR, bracketing and fusing exposures together and test driving the Photomatix program, hence the watermarks on the end result. The above photos are all HDR, fusion comes later!

Andrea,
You've done a beautiful job with these photos. I look forward to more.
I love the HDR photos! I need to find time to play with it some myself and see if I can do this, looks awesome!
Andrea - That's a marvelous group of photos and subjects. I especially love the last one!
Those are some really beautiful photos! What the heck is photomatrix? Those look like they could be some really cool postcards of your area!
Hi Andrea ~ You're getting mighty talented with that camera or program or whatever it is! These are just beautiful - very lifelike in a slightly eerie way.
Liz
Andrea - Ohhhh a silo! Love them all. I was wondering what was up with the watermarks. Thought your great photos were getting swiped.
You are speaking a whole different language with HDR, bracketing and fusing. You lost me at SILO. ;-)
WOW! Andrea, that's all I have to say. Thanks!
Linda, thank you! I am really having fun with this new program and am sure I will be purchasing it soon enough!
Kathleen, it is so much fun, just takes everything to a whole new level. I realize I have tons to learn but it sure brings me pleasure and a great way to add to local photographs.
John, thank you! They are great subjects for sure.
Brenda, Photomatix is a program that takes a set of photos of different exposures (bracketed photos) and compiles them into one photo, these are HDR. A bit surrealistic, but I do like the end result. Thank you! And postcards are a very good idea, you are making me put my thinking cap on.
Liz, thank you! The camera and the program work together I have to say. It does make them a bit surreal! It is fun, gives me more to do.
Judy, a silo for you, LOL. Nope, the photos are not being swiped, I am playing with a new program. Right now it is a free version, I am 99% sure I am buying it. After that, no watermarks. I just am not done test driving it. We do love those old barns and silos don't we? Thank you.
Rita, why thank you! And you are very welcome. I am really having fun with this.
Andrea...
Call me silly, but I don't know what HDR is?
OK my friend. I need a tutorial. Please clue us in. You know I love Photoshop and I'm thinking I can take it to another level with this HDR and PhotoMatrix.
Andrea - I have no clue what HDR is either but I love what you've done with it and that PhotoMatrix program. These photos are just fabulous!!
Richard, I might call you a poet, a photographer, a man of many talents, but I would never call you silly! HDR, High Dynamic Range. The camera is set to take 3 photos (in my case) of different exposures. Then the program I am trying out takes those photos and puts them together. There is an almost eerie type of realism to these photos at times. I have not tweaked these as I did the last set of bracketed photos that I published.it looks as it comes out of the program. Do I understand this? Absolutely not, but I sure do like what I see. And the program Photomatix is a stand alone program that is under $100, very reasonable. With the push of a button you get wonderful results! My tech understanding is limited on this, I am really just learning. Mike Hendren is pretty good at this, and is the one that inspired me to try this out. His work is fantastic. Like you, he is an amazing photographer.
Craig, check out Mikes post and follow his links to Photomatix. I found a coupon code for 15% off the Photomatix program through Mike, I commented on it in my last photo post. It sure is a lot of fun. I just had to dig a bit with my camera documentation to set my camera to do bracketing. That is taking 3 photos (some cameras do more I think) with the push of the button. Each shot is a different exposure. Under, normal and over. Then, voila, I push the button and there you have it! Now how easy is that may I ask.
Donna, I just answered Richard, LOL. Thank you! Check it out, you will have a blast with it!
Andrea! You are cooking with that HDR! Pretty soon you'll be giving Mike a run for his money! LOL The cornfield is my favorite!
Andrea those are amazing picture, they would look great framed and mounted on a wall.
Debi, it will take me a lifetime to catch up with Mike and the others here, you are too kind! But I sure am having fun.
George, thank you. I sure do love photography, am hoping this spring perhaps to take a class or 2. That should be fun.
Andrea..Very very nice..it also leaves me speechless..Thanks for the tips
Hi Andrea-Just awesome my friend. <SMILE>
Reading Mike's post right now. I'm loving this effect.
I think I can achieve the same technique with layers in Photoshop. But I'm reading up on it to see...
If I can figure it out, you'll see the results posted here in the Rain!
Hannah, thank you! Read Mikes post, it is great fun.
Sharon, I just love it when you come by and grace me with your smile! Thank you!
Craig, it is a 2 part post, so don't forget part 2, lol. I don't know anything about Photoshop, but this program is in a word, simple, ok, 2 words, awesome. Awesome and simple. There you have it. I am waiting with baited breath for your results! Now get cracking!
These are beautifully done photos. Thanks for sharing!
I am speechless....and because I know you shot them yourself....makes it extraordinarily exquisite :)
Pretty pictures! I took a pic of the Halloween moon, and it's the same moon.
The watermarks take away from the photos.
Lisa, you are very welcome, and thank you!
Sally, well, how about that. I think I like this HDR stuff! Thank you.
Carla, thank you! I know the watermark takes away from the shots, I am still testing the program, as soon as I buy the key there will be no more watermarks.
Andrea, The colors are stunning! The purple/blue in the first is gorgeous!
Andrea --- I am really impressed --- makes me want to get the photomatix program --- I'm going to read Mike's post -- also, I have to check out my camera to see if it will take 3 shots at once. Thanks for sharing.
Mama Liz
Andrea like most of the members commenting I did not know about HDR. I really love what it can do, and you did choose great subjects for the demonstration.
Hi Andrea, I sure give you a lot of credit. I read Mike's post and was going to go for the trail version of the photomatix program and then remembered that I am in learning overload right now and need to do many other things first. It is fun to think that I could get some very cool HDR Bracketed photos but for now, I give it to you all for even trying to do this. Wonderful job and my hat is off to you.
Hey, Andrea - I like your work. You could go from real estate to Madam Artist quite quickly.
Linda, why thank you!
Liz, I hope you are able to try this out, it is so much fun! I love the effects.
Jennifer, I am thinking to take a few hours this afternoon and find some worthy subjects again. :D
William, thank you! And you really should because Photomatix makes it pretty much idiot proof. What took me the longest was figuring out how to set my camera to do the bracketing. I am new to all this, I have only had my DSLR camera for less than a year. And the amount of features is overwhelming. Plus I only have one lens, so I am a bit on the limited side. But this program is for anyone who can take bracketed photos. I do not profess to be any Mike Hendren or a Richard Weisser, or any others of you here that are pros. But boy is this fun!
Russel, aww, you are too kind. If only.... :D
There's some of those pictures that my marketing guru told me to come over and look at. Very nice.
