Neapolitan Creche by talented artist Dayle Elsesser of Gaylordsville, CT. What a wonderful gift it is to go the see the Neopolitan Creche! The faces of the lively figures are based on friends and family members of Dayle Elsesser. An amazing display for all to see, don't miss going to the Neapolitan Creche this season! You will love it, I am sure.
The creche will be lit from now through January 8th, 2010 until 11:00 pm nightly, and till 1:00 am on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Located at 48 Gaylord Rd in Gaylordsville, it is an easy drive up Route 7. (Gaylordsville is actually part of New Milford, CT)

Some very impressive photos Andrea, please try to share a couple more when there's some snow on the ground.
Beautiful pictures Andrea! What a wonderful touch of history and Christmas. Agree with Ed, can you shoot some more shots when there is snow on the ground. We know you will, we know you like snow shots! ;)
thanks for sharing the photos with us, really neat history in the sculptures.. where's the snow...
Ed, lol, I will do my best, thanks!
Al & Peggy, isn't it great? LOL, as I said to Ed, I will do my best! As New Milford is 64 square miles, this is on the exact opposite side of town from where I am. Planning is key.
Caron, I will go back, LOL, I will go back!
Andrea ---- oh,my gosh!!! --what beautiful photos -- I,too, agree with Ed

Andrea, it would be a nice drive this time of the year to go see the display. I haven't seen anything like it before.
I've never seen anything like this before, Andrea! What a talented person very cool!
Debi
Andrea, that is impressive! I wasn't expecting that many figures in the Creche!
Andrea, this is an amazing display! He must have worked for years making all of those figures of his family!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Nice pictures Andrea-that looks really interesting. I have to admit though, anytime I see Neapolitan I think of ice cream! LMAO!
Hi Andrea, Most unusual and indeed the artist is very talented. What are the figures made of ? I stopped the slide show to read about how these came to be but it didn't mention of what material they are made. Cement perhaps. The faced are quite detailed for cement,( that was guess based solely on the color, :-) Quite a wonderful display.
Great display, but I have to agree with several other commenters: We want snow! LOL
Which product did you use to do the photo display above? I am visiting from your other phone call post today.
Andrea,
I have been checking out your other recent posts as well. I had to come by this one and check the Neapolitan Creche photos. Simply beautiful! Congrats on getting a phone call from the artist himself. It sure is nice to have the Creche contemplated by people all over the country and other parts of the world thanks to this post of yours. I am sure Dayle was happy to see his art reach a bigger audience then he initially anticipated. Happy Holidays!
