Spring in New Milford, CT, cold and dreary day surprise!
I was driving around today in New Milford, CT, always with my camera of course. What a treat, at the corner of Van Car Rd and Rt. 202, I just love what the owners of this property have done to spruce up the place and advertise the businesses in the buildings. Caught my eye!

Of course, who would be surprised that this would be something that I would snap a photo of? Look at how they have arranged the outdoor artwork for all to enjoy! And the tulips look spectacular too! Tomorrow looks like a better day to be out and about with my camera, I hope to get some more spring photos in and around New Milford, CT.

Andrea come on now admit it, first you saw the cow and that made you stop and as your eyes looked around that's when you saw the rest of the yard and the house. ;o))
Andrea,
Such a lush green, but still the cold feel. Should be a wonderful time of the year (on a cool side, though). We got our normal weather back, warm, sunny, the water in the ocean is very warm and plenty of people enjoy it. And still not hot like it will soon be.
Excellent post! Very colorful picture!
Thank you very much for sharing
Adam
Ed, how DO you know me so well? LOL, you got it!
Jon, we had some very warm weather for a bit, and the trees bloomed 2 weeks early! Now we have rain and cooler temps with flowers everywhere! Soon enough it will be warm every day.
Adam, thank you!
Hi Andrea...
That's a wondeful Spring photo. i think that we have moved into Summer already, it's been hot!
Richard, we had a week or 2 of hot weather, 90 degrees. Now, it is 40, rainy and cold! But I was able to get this shot before the tulips were done, which was a good thing. Thank you!
Andrea..i agree with Ed..It was the cow ..LOL

Hi Andrea, Sun, rain or shine, the Spring time to me is so refreshing and new. There is new everywhere you look, from the fresh green lawns and new flowers , to people painting and brightening their homes. One of my favorite times as a kif growing up was Memorial Day, the day the swimming pools opened. As I got older, I found many other more special things about day. Looking forward it.
Andrea, I could handle living in that house - no problem:-) The colors seem so wonderfully vivid - especially that bright red fire plug!
Hannah, I don't know what would make you and Ed say that....
Andrea, this picture has you written all over it :) :) :)
I have to start carrying my camera around like you do, and maybe I will capture some great shots like this as well.
Andrea, love the photo and the tulips. I too have got to get into the habit of carrying my camera with me - just think of all the shots I'm missing, especially now with everything beginning to bloom.
You can't fool me sister, it was that cute cow that was calling out to you! Moo Moo! It is a lovely yard, we don't see cows in the yard displays around here...
Out here you have to have a permit in order to let a cow graze on the front yard. LOL
William, I love Memorial Day too, starting with the parade here in town, BBQ's, just a lot of fun, with the promise of summertime activities right around the corner. So the decorating of the leaves and grass starts now to get ready for the holiday!
Myrl, isn't that a wonderful house? Up until a few years ago it was a residence, now it is office space but it looks so cool. There is a wonderful primitave store behind, which sadly, I have not visited. I guess I really should!
George, LOL, yes, it has me written all over it, what can I say? What? You don't carry your camera with you everywhere? I gave up carrying a purse and now have a book bag, with my camera case in it. LOL, I am always ready!
Leah, do what I do, carry it always! You just might miss the best shot in the world.
Janna, what? No cows? There are a few different type of cow displays around, we even had one. But nothing beats the real one I have... LOL.
Russel, I think you need one of these in YOUR front yard.... :D
What a fascinating picture Andrea! You could actually frame it. Sorry but have to agree with Ed, the cow caught your eyes!
Good morning Andrea,
Great spring shot..so colorful..I'm sure the owners are fun loving to have thought to make this eye catching setting! Thanks for sharing with us.
Good morning Al & Peggy, yes, I have been watching this scene and wanted to get a shot for a long time now. This winter someone spray painted all over the cows, I was horrified. They are back up and running, looking as they should now, so it was a great opportunity!
Dorie, good morning! The owners must have a good sense of humor! Glad you enjoyed it.
Andrea - This is so nice - I really like the cow! They did a great job.
Debi
It is eye catching and very nice looking my friend. Great way to incorporate some landscaping and signage in the same spot.
Debi, didn't they do a nice job? I love watching them change for the seasons too. Thank you!
JL, they are very clever I have to say. It is very eye catching. Thanks!
Andrea, That is so cute and surprise, surprise there's a cow!
Marchel, thank you! And yes, surprise, surprise, there is a cow, LOL.
Andrea what a cool looking place. The photo looks so vivid...love the colors.
What a unique picture. Adorable. That is the reason why a camera should always be handy!
