Check out the previous home sale market activity report for April 2010, we are still seeing an increase in homes waiting to close.  This could be as a result of the ending of the home buyers tax credit. We have to wait for the next few months to see how this shakes out.

With interest rates as low as they are now, (my first time home buyer just closed a CHFA loan for 4.5% interest, his total monthly payments are less than many people are paying for rent these days) and prices still low, it truly is the time to buy home in New Milford, CT.

The above statistics are provided courtesy of Greater Fairfield County Multiple Listing Service (CMLS). Information provided is deemed reliable, but not necessarily accurate. There may be discrepancies, as mistakes in inputing can be made, and the fact that Connecticut has more than one multiple listing service. There may be instances where a home was/is for sale in New Milford and is on the other multiple listing service. Most of the homes for sale are listed on CMLS, therefore that is where I base my statistical information. I do believe it gives a good sense of what is happening in New Milford.

Your prices are a tad stiffer, higher and in thinner air. Don't you find the higher the prices, the thinner the buyers? In any market?

Andy, I am waiting until after June to see what is really going on, after the tax credit expires. And yes, the higher the price, the thinner the buyers!

Andrea, It will be interesting to follow your market this summer. It has an impact on my market in Naples, ironically.  Nicely presented as usual.
