Real Estate and More, New Milford, CT. A Perfect Day!
I went today to help out an associate (and dear friend) from my office today. He has an antique home listed for sale in Bridgewater and I have been dying to post about it. So today I drove over to take some photos for my post, anyone that has been reading my blog knows how much I love antiques, so stay tuned. I got some great photos and am putting all the information together.
I came home over Ridge Road, and oh what a view. I have to say, this is some beautiful town I live in! The cornfields have been planted, some of the hay lots are mowed, waiting to be baled in the next day or two. The smell is fanstastic.
Ridge Road is up fairly high, behind my house is over 1000 feet above sea level. You can see Washington, Roxbury, Bridgewater and way beyond. Wait until the fireworks on the fourth of July! I sit on top of the hill and see fireworks forever in the distance.
Today the clouds looked like you could reach up and touch them, puffy patches of cotton floating lazily by. The contrast of the brilliant blue sky, the fluffy white clouds and the green hills of Litchfield County gave me the perfect photo op.
I stopped by Harris Hill Farm to take a picture. In the fall the field will be full of corn, and the kids will be having a great time finding their way through the corn maze. But for now, I will take this eye candy!

Good evening Andrea,
You love where you live which is wonderful...I'm sure many contact you to show them the best of Milford and what makes it so special!! Great photo's!
Andrea - What an incredible photo! It would make the most beautiful postcard ever!
Andrea...
I love the photo! Did I mention that my daughter is moving to Connecticut? When I come to visit,I hope to get to your beautiful area for some photos!
Nice Andrea! Did you spot any silos on your journey?
Dorie, I do love where I live! How could you tell? Thank you!
Donna, I think this whole town could be a post card, LOL, at least thru my eyes.
Richard, thank you! And no, you didn't tell me, where will she be? How exciting!!!!
Judy, I wake up every morning and see 3 of them, LOL. But I do have a few in mind to take for you. Thank you!
Andrea on the morning Channel 3 weather they said that we going to get 'Billowy Pillsbury dough boy clouds' this afternoon, and that's what you shot. As for Scott Haney, that's another story.
LOL, I didn't hear him say that, but that is what we got for sure! He is a funny guy, LOL. Maybe I should send the picture to him.
Andrea, I love antiques also. I have quite a few family antiques and then I have bought some also as I have done my office in antiques. I must say I also love the picture of your area!
Wow spectacular photo Andrea !!
... a wonderful day indeed !
Hi Andrea, you took a great shot! I also love antiques.
Marchel, hope I can get the antique information up later on today, working on it. Thank you!
Shel, it was indeed! Thank you so much.
Hi Jackie, I just love to see the different antique homes we have here. And the picture, well, I felt as if I could reach out and touch those clouds, almost!
You are right Andrea that is a gorgeous photo! It looks surreal.
This is a 'kick off your shoes' and dance in the fields like Mary Poppins type of day Andrea! Thanks for the rays of sunshine! You sure do know New Milford well!
Another gorgeous photo. I had a buyer call and say there were going to be late for their final walk through this morning. Luckily the house was in a waterfront development so I spent the extra time taking some shots of the lake. I hope they turned out as well as your farmland pic.
You have cornfields in Connecticut. I'm not picturing it. I'm thinking Nebraska. LOL
