9 Elizabeth Street, Kent CT for sale... Looking for a happy ending.

Kent CT In town colonial for sale, 9 Elizabeth Street, Kent, CT.

9 Elizabeth St, Kent CT for saleLooks pretty good from the street, right? I cannot lie. This poor house is in desperate need of a renovation. When done it could be some special home for the right buyer. Set on Elizabeth Street in Kent, Connecticut, this 3 bedroom colonial sits on a very special lot. Not only is the house connected to town water and town sewer, (yes, even in the small town of Kent there are some lucky in town people who are connected to town water and town sewer), it is within walking distance to wonderful downtown Kent. Enjoy all that Kent has to offer, wonderful restaurants, fantastic shopping, art galleries and stores, the Kent Film Festival and more! Too many things to name.

Bring your contractor for this one. Please note, this is not a short sale or foreclosure. It is an unfortunate situation for the owner who has never lived here. Someone else did this....

Built in 1934, this colonial has seen better days. I am sure at one time it was a real gem, a prize for the owners. We hope that someone will buy it and restore it back to its grander days. The home is 1,651 square feet, has three bedrooms, one bath on the second floor, a missing bath on the first floor, and a full bath that might work in the basement.

The house needs a new porch, new roof, some windows are in desperate need of repair, the upstairs bath should be gutted, the downstairs bathroom needs to be put in, the kitchen is, well, you will see. It does have an inside oil tank, NOT in-ground, it does have hardwood floors in much of the home, it is a beautiful home from the street. The basement was finished, but without a permit, as well as the attic space. I suppose that is just a bonus.

The owner would love to sell 9 Elizabeth Street in Kent, Connecticut. We would all love to see this home restored to what it once was. Listed at $225,000, all offers will be cheerfully received and reviewed, I promise! Give me a call to see 9 Elizabeth St in Kent, I will gladly show it to you.

Please note, this home will not qualify for a conventional mortgage, and is not for the average do-it-yerselfer! As they say, IT IS WHAT IT IS!

9 Elizabeth Street, Kent, CT, an in town colonial home for sale!

Andrea, I was up in Kent this past week end.  Kent is a beautiful little town, and you can't go wrong purchasing a house there.  Good luck with this listing.

Andrea - It looks like a lovely property.  I love this line you post, "It is what it is."  I think buyers appreciate that you are just open and honest in the marketing.  They can usually deal with that a whole lot better than wondering what a seller is hiding.

Andrea -- truly a diamond in the rough.  I love the architecture... it certainly looks like a lovely town.  I'm wondering if someone could get a 203K loan or other renovation loan to polish this gem.

Andrea, This is a true gem in the midst of a BEAUTIFUL town.  I do not think it will take long for someone to see the true potential in this property.  I loved the presentation.  No pretense or attempt to cover up or make excuses.  It is what it is!  Bravo!

George, LOL, a three wheeler.... ok.

Myrl, we are not hiding a thing! The poor owner, long story, he was just trying to help an old friend.... Anyway it is on a beautiful street, on a wonderful lot!

Joan, truly, you are righ! I love the house too, and do love the location. I think that would be the way to go if you didn't have cash.

Derenda, thank you! Yes, it is what it is. Why make people angry when they get there.... and they would be angry. This way you are knowing exactly what you are walking into. Or should I say, you are more prepared!

Hi Andrea, it doesn't even look like you would need a new roof. I love the style of this home. You did an excellent job on the video!

Jackie, the house does need a new roof. No leaks that we can see in the attic, but the shingles are pretty well finished. The questions is does it need new sheathing. And thank you!
