I am so not ready for this. The weatherman tells me that there is a chance of snow tonight and tomorrow morning. SNOW!
My dog loves snow, I am sure my 3 year old grandson will have a ball in the snow, he sure did last year. I used to love snow, to walk in it, to play with my girls when they were young, even to play with the dog a few short years ago. I do like to look at it falling outside, and I admit that it makes for good photo's.
However...
I for one am not ready for snow in New Milford, CT! I still see the beautiful colors of fall on a few trees in the hillsides! It was a few short weeks ago that I was actually thinking of running the AC! This evening the eastern portion of Connecticut will see snow and rain. But did I dodge the snow bullet? Perhaps not... they say the higher elevations in the Litchfield Hills may see snow tomorrow morning. Of course, I live in one of the higher elevations in New Milford, CT. Let's just see if I see snow tomorrow morning. I will have the camera ready, with a grimace on my face. My only hope is that many times the only correct weather forecast is the one given AFTER the fact!
Perhaps it will miss Connecticut and fall gently and sweetly on my wonderful neighbors to the north in Massachusetts! I would gladly give them this gift. After all, the stores are all reminding us just how many days 'till Christmas, I will give them this as my early holiday gift this season.....
Are you ready for the snow?

Send your snow here to the central Oregon coast. It has only snowed here twice in the last 12 years.
We got it yesterday and the trees looked beautiful as we drove to a local farmer's market but it's gone today and we are back to the still pretty fall colors. We are expecting temps in the 60's mid week and until the weekend!!
Andrea...i don't know what weather station you have but please don't wish it on over to RI...we haven't adapted to the fall season as of yet!! ughh...
Nothing quite so much fun as watching your puppy or child run through new snow for the first time each year.
Andrea, Brrrr, need a change? post this on the screen:
It's down to a bone chilling 68 here
Andrea, snow? Nope, I am not ready for snow here, our temperature is still in the moderate 60-70's in the daytime, just a bit chilly at night around 30-40's. Snow? I can wait, yes, I can.
Oh no, I am not mentally ready for snow! The forecast in todays paper here shows no sunshine all week, and rain every day with a possibility of snow here and there. Sure glad I got out and about on that glorious fall day last week!
We're baling hay in November???? Farmers out all evening with their lights on plowing fields and baling hay. Last year by this time we had lots of snow and cold. Now it's like we're in September (which I love).
Snowboarders are itching to get up the hill and flip something. Snow? I say bring it on!
There is a reason I don't live in snow territory ... I don't like it. But boy, did we ever get the rain this morning!
Andrea,
Snow is beautiful, and is fun. The no fun part is that it is too much fun and takes to long.
I would enjoy the snow for a day, maybe 2 or 3, but my problem was that we had it for 10 months, and our snow was not fun even the first week.
And after 15 years in Florida, I still do not have nostalgia for snow
Andrea...
There was snow on the mountains yesterday, and I thought that I say a flurry or two last week. It is November, after all!
I am so NOT ready for snow. I did dig my sweaters out of the back of closet, but I have yet to get out the turtlenecks (and I haven't put away my capris).
Rob, I would gladly send you all the snow we are scheduled to have this year!
Barb, I like looking at it, and taking pictures of it, but I live up on a hill and I sure hate driving in it. I can't go anywhere without going... down... straight down....
Ginny, perhaps they were wrong, no clouds yet. But I want to be generous, you can have it all!
Glenn, for a moment or two, LOL.
Ed, I would slap you if you were sitting next to me, right upside the head! Having fun you brat you?
Rita, oh, nice weather!
Hi Janna, rain in the fall is icky, rain the winter is worse.....
Wanda, there have been a few times we were bailing hay here in November, this year they could be. I know they have not gotten all the corn yet... better do so before the snow hits.
Cynthia, don't rub it in.
Jon, I am sure you have had enough snow for a lifetime, LOL. But I want to know, do you still have one of those big hats? Alyosha said they are called "airports"?
Richard, I did miss snow when I was in Atlanta, and hated those damn ice storms.
Donna, I still have not pulled out all the winter clothes. I don't want to, LOL.
Andrea, I know what you mean, I am not ready for snow either. In fact I have to get tires and was going to do that this week. I hope I have not waited to long :)
Oh, my! Are we into winter already.
You guys that are in snow country... I'm sorry! :)
George, I saw on the news this morning you had snow... me? I have ICE, nothing but ice.... and no snow tires of course....
Judi, the weatherman kept saying... "Snowvember" this morning, but for me it is Icevember!
Hi Andrea, we had some this morning. All of a sudden the winds kicked in and I was seeing huge flakes. I was like, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not yet. At least it's not cold out.
I did see frost on all the porch plants finally yesterday morning. Good thing I had brought in my beautiful red geranium.
Andrea, I'm so not ready for the winter, though it is November. I'm still enjoying the last of the autumn colors. We had our first touch of frost yesterday in the AM. I'm not looking forward to the snow
Andrea, we had snow at Snowshoe Ski Resort the first of October, and snow this past week in other areas...the higher elevation. We didn't get snow....I love it, but could do without the cold.....but alas, cold and snow go hand and hand..
I don't know, Andrea, I'm sorta ambivalent on the matter, as snow would at least give me another hour to sleep, or a day off....
