Imagination Library is chugging into New Milford CT tomorrow, Saturday November 13 from 10 am to 12 noon at the New Milford Public Library. What a wonderful program!
Come and register your child for free books up to age 4, sent directly to your home, watch a puppet show and story time at the New Milford Public Library.
I wrote about the Imagination Library, brain child of Dolly Parton. Free, age appropriate books mailed directly to your child, up to age 4. If you are unable to attend you can still bring your child the gift of books by going to the United Way of Western Connecticut website and signing up.
The Imagination Library in New Milford, CT is sponsored by the New Milford Bar Association and the New Milford Public Library. And a big thank you to the United Way of Western Connecticut!
See you there! I have already signed up one grandchild and hope to sign up the second one tomorrow. And I know the kids will love the puppet show and the story time.

Hi Andrea, I used to love doing things like this with my son...............when he was little. He's 15. Not gonna happen. I miss those days :)
Andrea, that sounds like a wonderful program. I'm going to investigate further, maybe my Library could participate too! Thank you
Jackie, LOL, that is the joy of grandparenting... I get to do this all over again and then.... hand them back!
Laura, this is a great program, I am so happy I found it!
Good morning Andrea. Books are so good for young children. Sadly, as they grow, many replace books with electronic gizmos...
What a great idea. I'm going to look into it for our area too. I used to love going to the library with my son when he was young. I can still quote stuff from the books we read together ;)
Great to hear books and libraries are alive and well in CT Andrea! This is a great program and sounds like a fun event.
Michael, I still love to read books, just often don't have the time or make the time. Sad indeed.
Toni, I hope you can pull it off!
Hi Al & Peggy, doesn't it sound fun? I just realized I am phone wench in the office tomorrow, hope my daughters will attend. Maybe I can sneak away for just a bit?
Andrea this is a great way to start off a young child.
Do you have to a child to come and watch the puppets? :)
Hey Andrea, will someone take your grandson as you are the phone wench tomorrow? This sounds like a great program, but a bit too far for the eligible grandson.
Great Localism spot Andrea. And such a way to get the kids reading instead of sitting in fronot of the TV/ computer/ video games.
