Neapolitan Creche in Gaylordsville, CT, don't miss this special holiday gift to you!
Every year I wait and wait for the Neapolitan Creche in Gaylordsville, CT to be on display, this year the lighting will take place on Saturday, December 4th, 2010, at 5:00 pm.
Every year local artist Dayle Elsesser of Gaylordsville, CT displays her life sized Neapolitan Creche in her yard at 48 Gaylord Road, Gaylordsville, CT. Every evening through the Christmas and New Years season Dayle delights us with the creche, keeping it lit for all to see from 5:00 pm till 11:00 pm, and on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Eve the display will be lit until 1:00 am.
I love driving over there to just hang out and stare at this marvel, day or night. There are folks from near and far who make the trek to see this amazing display. It is said that Dayle uses the faces of friends as her inspiration, if you look close enough you may recognize someone you know!
Carve some time out of your busy holiday schedule to drive by the Neapolitan Creche in Gaylordsville, CT. You won't be sorry you did. The figures are amusing, the scenes are fanciful and fun. Thank you Dayle Elsesser for making your talent available for all to see, it is truly a gift I cherish and look forward to every year!
