If you are waiting to see if the interest rates go lower, you missed it. They are on the rise. Having said that, interest rates are STILL low. Between housing prices in New Milford, CT and the current interest rates, there are good deals to be had all the way around.

LOL I absolutley love the photo Andrea! That is just perfect....I guess those clothes will be outdoorsy fresh:)

Bill, I couldn't resist. My hubby loves to hang his clothes outside, he also is a night owl. So... when your day starts late... and you don't quite plan ahead, this is what happens. I am sure once they do thaw out and dry they will smell fantastic!

I remember that happening to my Mom when I was young. I thought it was so funny seeing those frozen clothes: she didn't think it was so funny :)

Same is true here about the rates and the inventory, but we are not allowed to hang clothes on a line where I live LOL

Anyone who is trying to time the market has already missed the boat. Great accompanying photo Andrea! Too funny.

Andrea - How right you are! BTW, I can remember bringing in a few frozen clothes in the past. I couldn't live without a dryer. LOL

Nothing like a nice pair of frozen pants first thing in the morning, lol. I will be inspecting one of those New Milford homes at the end of the week.

Craig, timing the market is impossible these days, to say the least...

Judy, we do have a dryer, but hubby loves to put his clothes outside. I told him to pay attention to the weather, but he doesn't always listen...

Jim, oh, ouch! Good luck on your inspection up here!

Great picture Andrea.  I think it is easier to get a sense of the timing of this market by looking at a stretch of the housing market over an extended period of time.  50 years will show that we really do have cycles and thinks that have gone down will come back.  Personally I see us at the bottom of the market and moving back up.  I was at an event last week where the BofA economist was showing long range and mid range statistics that showed just those indicators.  We should have a great spring.

Larry, I am optimistic and will believe what you say! I do think things are getting better here. I am busier, more buyers are around, things are looking up for the New Year.

I just loved what you said, "If you are waiting to see if the interest rates go lower, you missed it. They are on the rise. Having said that, interest rates are STILL low"  Some people....you gotta love them!

Also when I was really young maybe in 1957 my mom's clothes got frozen on the line too! I don't think clothes dryers were around then and we had to dry them indoors. My mom was not happy... It brought back those memories...thank you for that!

People need to take advantage of these prices and low interest rates while they still can!

Posted by Barbara-Jo's Beach Blog - Clearwater Florida Real Estate (Charles Rutenberg Realty) over 1 year ago

Sussie, it is odd. The last time I remember rates getting so low, seems everyone stopped buying. Then as they crept up they started again. Glad to give you a memory!

Barbara-Jo, yes indeed, they sure do!

Hi Andrea - You are so right that this is the time - the problem with people who are "waiting for the right time" is that too often they wait too long and miss the perfect time.

No one rings a bell at the bottom to let the public know when prices and rates won't go any lower.  Sooner or later serious buyers will have to buy, and I agree with you that this is as good as it is going to get.  By the way, very funny illustration!

Hilarious photo!!  I just those jeans are going to be a little stiff!  And you're right -- it's a good time now, and hopefully it will stay that way for awhile.
