Oh my... I just heard that the end of the world starts tomorrow, and I am not prepared! Why oh why didn't I know this before today? No one mentioned this to me. Although I did have a bout with laryngitis the other day, for a real estate agent that could signal the end of the world as we know it.
The news this morning alerted me to a prediction by Christian radio broadcaster Harold Camping, who is certain the end starts tomorrow, May 21st. Apparently, like a foreclosure, it is a process and takes time. But a bit quicker than a foreclosure as it will be over in five months. Harold did think this was going to happen in 1994, much to his chagrin, or good fortune, it did not. I suppose it depends on your point of view.
There are, apparently, many followers of this belief. (again, where have I been?) As we never know what is going to happen in life, I can't say that this gentleman is right or wrong. I mean, we never know when our ticket is up, do we? Living life to its fullest is something I need to work on, I know that. Grabbing life by the tail and hanging on for the ride is something I would like to say I do on a regular basis, but that is not so.
So, perhaps for today, just in case this time the prediction is right, I had better get out there, grab on for dear life and have a fantastic day! But then again, I have work to do. Hedging my bet, so to speak. But it does give one pause, reason to think, am I doing all that I can? Am I having a good time while I am doing it? Am I really enjoying the gift of life that has been given to me?
Inspiration does come in some of the strangest forms, doesn't it? I think my main priority for today is to have a great time while doing what it is I have to do. And perhaps it will be infectious, carry though to others around me and for the days to come. After all, one never knows... does one?
Make it a great one! And remember.... Here is MY prediction:
