Google thinks I need more training...

GoogleI love Google, really I do. I use gmail, I have 2 emails forwarded to gmail, Google is so smart. When I reply, it replies from the address it was sent to. A no brainer if you ask me. If I get email to my Prudential account, gmail responds as if I am actually using my Prudential account. When it comes to, same thing.

Seemless, easy, don't even have to think. I love Google...

I use the Google calendar to keep my life straight, all my appointments, reminders, my phone wench obligation days, my life is in my Google calendar! What a breeze... what did I ever do before Google helped me through each and every day?

Google syncs to my Blackberry adding all my contacts, my appointments, etc. Easy peasy... Great stuff that Google.

But, and you knew there was going to be a butt... (this is MY story, there has to be a butt here somewhere) way to go GoogleGoogle, in their infinite wisdom, has decided that I need massive amounts of real estate training and coaching. I placed on my Google calendar an event in September, with Master Trainer Sheldon Spiegel (my Sweathogs coach, oh you just gotta love Shelly, right?). Google decided once was not enough, I needed to attend the event ...

1,871 times!

Now I have no idea how it happened, and I am not going to sit and delete 1,870 entries in my calendar. Besides, Google knows all, right?

I must need the extra training!

LOL -- I have not had this happen, but I have had my contacts thow up 100's of times!  NOt fun deleting!  Overall google has a lot of great free apps.. but sometimes they go a little haywire.  :)

That is too funny.  I just discovered Google and will be jumping into it this weekend.  I will be sure to get that extra training.

Kathy, guess Google knows you are way smarter than I am!

Joan, oh yeah, the contacts thing, I have that happen too. Haywire is the least of it, LOL.

Kari, yeah, well, I will be way more trained than you, LOL.

Margaret, he is amazing! I am excited. Wonder how he will feel when he finds out he has to have me in his class 1,871 times!

Virginia, that might be a great idea!

Donna, I love it, seriously. But this is some weird thing.

Marchel, I guess so, LOL. And Google knows all. But I am starting to get a complex...

Wow, I wonder what prompted that little glitch? Isn't it supposed to be just 1870 times?

Todd, my thoughts, I really do love the gmail/calendar and all the other fun stuff I have from Google! I will put up with it, but it did make for good blog fodder!

I hope many agents carefully re-read your very first paragraph... it's frightening to see how many cling to 15-year old AOL and Earthlink accounts because they have no idea they can forward them to Gmail and even reply through Gmail as those accounts. Every try emailing an offer to an AOL user? AOL seems to treat any non-AOL email address as spam and kicks it back. AGENTS, please ditch the accounts from the early 90s and get with the times! Thanks :)

I use ODIR (Outlook Duplicate Item Remover) which allows users to remove duplicate contacts, calendar items, email, tasks and notes from Outlook, then I synch one way to Google Calendar.

GCalToolkit ( provides a set of power tools for Google Calendar users including duplicate removal.  It is free to try, then you have to buy.
