Both Liddy and I are pleased to make this announcement, Swiedler & Adams is no more!!! We are moving up, changing our name, adding to the mix Rich Pomerantz, Realtor, J.D, Professional Photographer and ARGG! That is... A Really Great Guy!
I remember when Liddy and I sat down and formed our team, Swiedler & Adams. I was so excited. Now I am just over the moon! Rich Pomerantz, well known professional photographer, well known attorney and now Realtor has joined us! Make sure you check out his jaw dropping photography and his blog at richpomerantz.com.
So the question was.... what do we call ourselves now? My biggest stipulation was that it had to LOOK good (as well as sounding good). The logo man will decide, will be Swiedler, Adams & Pomerantz? Or will it be Pomerantz, Swiedler & Adams, or maybe Swiedler, Pomerantz & Adams. Time will tell, the big reveal will be next week. In the mean time, Rich is up and running, ready to go.
Rich Pomerantz has a wealth of knowledge and expertise he will bring to the mix to give to our clients. Best to let him tell you himself.
About Rich Pomerantz
When I moved to Litchfield County 25 years ago, I ran a successful real estate law firm. I also was an adjunct professor at Pace Law School where I wrote the curriculum for courses in real estate finance course and real estate transactions. Representing buyers, sellers and lenders, I developed a reputation as a lawyer who could balance firm negotiations on behalf of my client with cooperative communication between all the players - buyers, sellers, bankers, title personnel and realtors - to make a closing happen. I’ve seen three real estate crashes, four real estate booms, buyers’ markets, sellers’ markets, and markets like we have today where no one knows what to think.
I grew up in Westchester County, NY, where I was never found without a camera in my hand. I was the kid in high school doing all the yearbook photos, at the sidelines with the long lens at all the sporting events, and hogging the darkroom before, during and after school. My professional photography work grew in college as I did headshots for actor friends and at 19 had my first commercial photography job illustrating a book on soaring (that’s flying an airplane with no engines) for MacMillan Publishing. Before, during and after college I traveled widely with my camera, amassing a large library of images from Europe and Israel, where I lived for a year. Many of these images are still being published through one of the stock agencies representing my work. I put aside my dreams of being a photographer to go to law school, but after a decade of law practice my creative side beckoned, and in 1995 I started photographing for local newspapers and magazines, and that grew into serving regional and then national clients. In 1999 I left my law practice to shift into my second career in editorial and commercial photography.
I became known primarily as a garden and “shelter” photographer, though I also have a deep portfolio of portrait work. I have photographed homes and gardens for clients who use my imagery for public relations, advertising and branding campaigns. My photography credits include three commercially published coffee table books: Wild Horses of the Dunes, Great Gardens of the Berkshires and Hudson River Valley Farms as well as publications ranging from the New York Times to Traditional Home, Garden Design, Cottages and Gardens and National Geographic publications to White Flower Farm catalogues.
As your Realtor, you can depend on my real estate experience together with my visual and publishing abilities. Whether you are a seller who wants the best options for visually presenting your home or a buyer looking for the right lifestyle to fit your dreams and plans, you want a Realtor who will offer you smart, ethical, reasoned and experienced advice and representation in your transaction. I can offer you a range of experience and insights that no other Realtor has. I look forward to working with you!
