Halloween, Trunk or Treat & Hurricane Sandy in New Milford CT

Trunk or Treat New Milford CTIt would seem that Mother Nature is not a fan of a good old fashioned New England Halloween! Last year on this date she wreaked havoc on New England in the form of snow, Halloween was a bust for many of the local residents.

This year she is trying it again. HOWEVER.... New Milford Park & Rec Department has organized another Trunk or Treat event for our trick or treating kids. Let's hope the rain stays away and the center of the town has power so the kids will not be disappointed!

The weather forecast for Halloween in New Milford is breezy, mild and possible showers. Let's hope we can pull off Trunk or Treat on the New Milford CT Village Green for the kids.

When:  Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 from 5:30 -7:30 pm
Where: New Milford Town Green

If you want to hand out candy from your vehicle, call the New Milford Park & Rec Department at 860-355-6050 to register your car.  Decorate your vehicle, fill your trunk with candy and be a part of the fun!

Those that attend are being asked to bring canned goods to share with the New Milford Food Bank. The drop off points will be on the green at the crosswalk across from the First Congregational Church, Webster Bank at 53 Main Street and Tivoli's Restaurant.

If Mother Nature is good to us, we should ALL have leftover canned goods to donate!

Here is my scary little grand-dragon!
