Antique Home for Sale in New Milford CT Awaits a Regeneration

This antique sits on the border of New Milford and Bridgewater and is waiting to be brought back to life. Many of the original period details still exist and will make a beautiful home for the antique lover! Great potential gentlemans farm or horse property.  Built in 1800, this home has 5 bedrooms, 4 fireplaces, some chestnut wide board floors and oak flooring. The barns have been restored and are a lovely addition to the property. It does need work, but what a beauty it will be!

Andrea, what a great looking home.  A new owner could really revitalize that home and make it their own.

Andrea, with the right vision and some elbow grease, someone can make 8 Ridge Rd in New Milford, CT into a real gem.

Goodness.  I wasn't impressed until I saw the interior.

I suspect that if a smart buyer sees the potential in this property, it should sell quickly.

That said, not knowing values in that area, I can't say what it would sell for in top condition.

Andrew, thank you!

June, it has good lines to it, and the interior has a great flow.

Gabe, someone does have to have the vision, because it needs tons of work. But it will be amazing when finished!

Lenn, yes, the exterior is lacking, and the interior needs extensive work as well. But when all is said and done it will be a beautiful home again! It is in a great location, easy commute to New York City and close enough to town.

Love that and could see myself living in that house.  Makes me feel warm and fuzzy like Gmama's house.

Hello Andrea ... Love this home and with a little TLC, this home would be beautiful. Your post has been featured to the group:

Just goes to show the power of photographs.  I've said many times that ALL homes look good in photos.

That's why we have to go look for ourselves.
